As part of the Freedom to Move programme I performed a concert with Dan Bridgwood-Hill/DBH and 5 vocalists:

Alice Brookes
Ben Spatz
Kirsty Ferguson Lewis
Stephanie Lampera
Supriya Nagarajan.

Under the direction of Sofia Jernberg, 5 vocalists, accomplished in their own right explored concepts of instant composition, leading to 5 performances by each singer, using the 2 Dans as their pliable, orchestra. Each brought a singular approach, ranging from Supriya deeply rooted in the Carnatac vocal tradition, to Ben’s more theatrical or storytelling experience.

To compliment the exhibition UPSTREAM BY TRUDI ENTWISTLE (Site-specific works by artist Trudi Entwistle created throughout her artist in residence project with flagship cross-disciplinary research centre water@leeds.)

we will co-lead an participatory workshop using the exhibited work as inspiration for movement and sound. Call gallery to book a place or take a chance and turn up on the day.

“Bug’s life” creative education in primary school

I lead devised and led this project for Creative partnerships Manchester Salford at Moston Lane Primary School, with artist Anthony Hall.

Children made films, animations, articulated models, model sets and claymation creatures.

We recorded sound effects and explored the movement possibilities of insects both real and imagined.
